What/Who: The 2019
Internet2 Global Summit is a forum for C-level information
technology decision-makers and high-level influencers from higher
education, K-20 education, government and nonprofit laboratories,
regional and state networks, research centers, federal agencies, and
industry to discuss today’s needs, challenges and solutions for
supporting research and scientific scholarship.
Sessions will focus on discussions around trust and identity, advanced
networking, information security, and integrated solutions for research,
scholarship and creativity. Featured keynote speakers include:
Jeannette M. Wing, Avanessians Director of the Data Science Institute
and professor of computer science at Columbia University, presenting “Data
for Good: Data Science at Columbia” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6.
Vinton G. Cerf, vice president and chief internet evangelist at
Google, presenting “Pacification
of Cyberspace” at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, March 7.
