Dollar General's Holiday Helper Web Site is Ready to Assist Shoppers

Dollar General launched a new Web section today that is dedicated entirely to the holidays. The online Christmas solution center, located at www.dollargeneral.com, makes holiday planning quick and easy.


'The new section of our Web site is a one-stop site to help our customers prepare for the holidays,' said Todd Vasos, Dollar General's chief merchandising officer. 'Using the site, customers can easily plan their holiday shopping trip based on their budget and needs. This is another tool we're providing to help our customers plan ahead and stretch their resources farther during the holidays.'

The holiday Web site features gifts for everyone, including gift ideas for kids, stocking stuffers and gifts under $10. More than 400 holiday items are featured on the site, making it simple for customers to build a comprehensive shopping list. All items on the Web site are searchable by price and category.

The Web site also helps customers prepare for the holiday season. Step-by-step tips for decorating a Christmas tree, creating a centerpiece, setting a table and decorating a mantle are among the how-tos on the site.
